Searching Strategy...
the thing at the very top of the robot is an ET sensor. It uses infrared to see the enemy about 8 inches away. There is also a sensor next to our ramp to detect the edge of the ring so we don't fall off. It uses the same infrared technology except that its range is much smaller.
Attacking Strategy...
our attacking strategy is the ramp. There is a servo (a motor that only turns 180 degrees) attached to the ramp. Behind the ramp is a sensor that gets pushed and signals the servo to lift up the enemy when they begin to roll up the ramp causing them to flip. Our attack strategy is also a part of our defense strategy.
Defense Strategy...
The wall on the outside of our wheels is actually a bumper. It slides into a sensor when hit. When the bumper is activated the robot will spin and drive away to escape the enemy. There is also another ET sensor on the rear of our robot to see if the enemy is behind us and will tell the robot to run as well.
